This is my audio clip on one of the words that a found about after the survey.

Data

I found out that many players don't really care about playing soccer. The reason they play is because they don't want to stay home. I also found that lots of players know a little of another language on the team.

Question:

Have you picked up any words from other player that speak different languages?

Primary Research

My subject will be my soccer team.(20 players)

I will give out surveys to collect data.

Secondary Research

The article that I read was very interesting. It related to my soccer team in some ways. They have lots of immigrants on the team and so do we. Some of the players on that team don't speak very well English and people on my team can speak very well. When playing soccer people have different ways of communicating. They use signs and little English to communicate. Players on my team speak about three or four languages to communicate so that other players don't understand what we are saying.

My Research Plan

My plan is to follow these steps:

1. Make survey

2. Give it to my soccer teammates

3. Pick four people to interview

4. Organize everything

5. Make an audio for each four players

My Research Questions

Questions:

Can the player learn a language that somebody else speaks on the team?

Can they hold a short conversation(different language) with someone else?

Why do you learn the curse words first?

My Research Goals

My goal is to find out if the other players on my soccer team learn how to speak the other languages that the other players on the team speak. If they know any words I would lie to record them saying those words.

My Language Beliefs

Language is a very powerful thing. I think that if you know lots of languages, there is a greater chance of being successful in life. Language says a lot about a person. Language says if you are mean or nice, respectful or rude. 

I think that this is true, because language is important in many ways. How you speak says a lot about you.
